The Ontario deaths registry on Ancestry give no deaths of a Catherine O'Hearn after 1901. The only ones they have are in 1893 and 1899 (both born Ireland  one born c1813 and the second born c1828).

The 1901 census shows Catherine as a widow born 8 Mar 1827 and living with daughter Mary born 14 Sep 1870

You might want to check with the "Cemetery supervisor" for Markdale. Even if they aren't buried in Markdale, he may be able to give you some suggestions on which cemeteries to check into.
