Thompson/Barker marriage
« on: Thursday 21 February 08 19:01 GMT (UK) »
If someone has access to Parish Register for Marston could you please search out a marriage between Elizabeth Thompson,[ b c1807 daughter of John Thompson & Ann Odell ]  and Thomas Barker.

I have found a 'submitted' entry on them  for February 1825.
Not too happy with submitted entries!! Not able to get to the Record Office for a while myself so hope someone can maybe seek out an original entry?? Hopefully---Poli :)

Richard--many thanks for that, much appreciated.

Of course you are right about 'submitted' entries but i always feel hesitant after finding one in case it is just someones guesswork!!

Out of curiosity, aka nosiness, did you look them up specially, i ask because i can't see any of your names as being in Beds. If so, double thanks. ;D Poli.

I have plenty of rellies in Bedfordshire - the 'Luton & area' in my list covers a multitude of southern Bedfordshire families!  That said, this morning was the first time I'd managed to get over to the archives at Bedford - very friendly and helpful.  I'm well aware that plenty of submitted entries are based on dubious guesswork and should never be relied upon - but it's nice to find that not all of them are completely spurious!
Thanks
Richard.
