Griffiths Valuation look-up request: Hughes, Co. Galway

Good evening,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to look up the following person in on the Griffith's Valuation database please?

I'm trying to find a Laughlin Hughes, from the Galway area. Not much to go on, I know!

Any help would be appreciated though!!

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for that. My search was based on Galway, simply because, that's where my great, great grandfather Patrick was stated as being from (Loughlin was his father). I suppose there's no reason why Loughlin wasn't living elswhere prior to Patrick's birth though. I also noticed that 'Laughlin's' name was actually spelled 'Loughlin' on Patrick's marriage certificate. On searching for this variation, one hit came back:

Loughlin Hughes Armagh, Tynan, Knockbane 

Ancestry only hosts the index to the Griffith's Valuation. Am I right in thinking that Origins has scanned images of the original documents, enabling me to see other people who were listed as residing at the propert in question?

doing an all Ireland search on originsnetwork gives this record -

HUGHES   LOUGHLIN   
County : ARMAGH   
Parish : TYNAN   
Townland : KNOCKBAN

even allowing for spelling variations he is the only Loughlin Hughes listed..
