Carter family of Welshpool

I am trying to find information about the Carter family who lived in Welshpool in the 1850's - 1880's.Their names were Alfred and Bets(e)y, plus daughter Mary who was born 1868, plus other children.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a quick look on both the 1851 and 1861 Montogmeryshire census but cannot find Alfred or Betsy on either.

Do you know approximately what year they were born, and where they were both born?
