Thomas PEACOCK, Bedfordshire
« on: Thursday 28 February 08 17:56 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
On the 1851 and 1861 censuses my gt. grandmother Louisa Cros(e)ley, born 1 Oct 1842, was living with her uncle and aunt Thomas and Mary Peacock in St Pauls Bedford.  Thomas was born c.1815 in Elstow and was a ginger beer manufacturer. Mary was born c.1810 also Elstow.  In 1861 another niece, Sarah Ann Wood, born c. 1844, was living with them too. When Louisa married William Conquest at Bunyan Meeting House, Bedford, in 1864, Thomas Peacock was a witness.
I wonder if anyone knows any more about Thomas.
Ann

Thanks everyone, that's a great help.  Don't know why I couldn't find him on IGI or 1841 census.

Yes, that must be it, Barbara!  Anyway, I've found both 1841 censuses now, so am really pleased. Ann :)
