 :D  Thanks Ricky, that has cleared a lot up about these two David Mellins, I had all the children off church records, and thought that they all belonged to the same David Mellin and Mary Ann, as you would I suppose, as they all had the same names,  A LESSON LEARNT THERE, if I had the birth cert of a few it would have given me the mothers maiden name,,,and I would have picked the mistake up before, the last lot , he was the son of James Mellin, and the other the son of THomas Mellin,,  Many thanks Margx

Iam trying to find out about Esther ann mellin and her marriage to John Curtis .He is on the 1891 census as a boarder living at 15 davids st bridgend.

Thank You for your reply.The reason iam so interested is that John Curtis was my husbands grandfather who married Edith Barkle in 1919.John was 55yrs old she was 48yrs and had previously been married to his brother Charles who died in1919.John must have been married before.They had 1 son together my father in law.He never met his father ,he was told he was at sea?.Could have he been married previously to Esther Ann Mellin?

just looked at the freebmd now and there is a marraige recorded for John Curtis and Edith M CURTIS in 1919, but I can`t find a death for Esther ann Curtis,, sorry.
