I have had a break through. It appears Rachel Clark B. 1808 in Tweedmouth had  an illigitimate son Robert b. 1827 with Alexander Dumble of Tweedmouth. She later married James Hastie also of Tweedmouth.  Does anyone have any info. on any members of the Clark family of Tweedmouth.
