Hi Raa

My first thought was as Alexandre was in the army perhaps he was serving elsewhere. If you could find which regiment was stationed in Jersey in 1891 that might give you a lead.

Did Carrie and Alexander have any children? If so, the birth certificate should give mother's maiden name.
Carrie is a widow in 1901 in St. Helier. In 1891 she is listed as Carrie S.F..

The two boys listed as nephews are actually BURET which Ancestry has transcribed as Birch (Theobald J.C. Buret not Theobald I.C. Birch).
In 1881 the Burets are in St. Pancras, London:
Jean C. Buret (b.France)
wife Alice M. (b.Ireland)
sons Theobald J. age 1 and Felix _? 6 mo.

As Alice Buret was born in Ireland and Carrie Anderson was also perhaps they are connected (just an idea for now).

Some more on the Burets:
Claude Jean Buret m.(1878 Pancras) Alice Maria C. Purcell.

1901 Census shows Jean C. Buret b.France
wife Alice b.Dublin, Ireland
daughters Daisy 14 & Ida 10

Leon Basil Buret b.1882 Lambeth
Daisy Theresa C. Buret b.1886 Lambeth m.1908
Ida Gertrude Buret b.1890 Pancras
Theobald John Claude Buret m.1907

Theobald was a ship's master according to N.Y.(1925-1930) and Seattle passenger lists.

Should have put in that 1901 census lists Carrie Anderson as born c1864. Unfortunately civil registeration of births in Ireland started 1864 so it's quite likely that she was born pre-registration.
