World War 1 sericeman
« on: Monday 03 March 08 14:24 GMT (UK) »
Hello:
I am researching a family member from World War 1. I have a name of Arthur G. Pyburn. Regiment was Machine Gun Corps. Regimental Number 107926.
What I am trying to find out where the above person came from. I know Pyburn survive the war. I found another paper with him receiving Victory Metal MGC 101B66.

Tom

Hi Tom !

There is only one on the 1901 Census Arthur G Pyburn born Lamesley, Durham

High Eighton, Lamesley, Durham
RG13/4704 Folio 85 Page 49
Joseph M Pyburn Head 49 Farmer Joint born Lamesley
Thomas Pyburn Brother 45 Farmer do born Lamesley
Annie J Pyburn Sister in Law 39 born Newcastle upon Tyne
Arthur G Pyburn Nephew 2
Bridget Gates Servant 16 Nurse
Annie Grundy ditto 16 General Servant

The birth index for this chap shows his middle name as Glenton, sadly the MIC for 107926 Pyburn does not show a middle name just the initial G  :-\
