This seal or stamp is on a letter from a RC  priest  in  ireland to a rellie to prove that he'd been babtised so that he could marry .Is this the name of a church in the stamp I've tried google the name cordis but nothing come up that seem to point to a church .the letter was sent about 1895 and the baptism was in 1869

Hi

the bit I can read looks like "Ecclesia parochialis" so that means the church in a certain area = parochialis.

Unfortunately I can't make out the other bit. :(

I'm no expert and my Latin is almost non-existant but looks like the writing around the seal/stamp is "Cicil_ Eccl_e Parochialis" which might be [St.] Cecilia's? Parish Church in English? but perhaps it's no Cecilia.
www.arklow.ie/community/masses.asp (can't see one listed here but maybe someone in one of the local churches can help).

Maybe something in these records?:

Think I've got it! Cordis is Latin for heart and there's a letter or two before it so I put "Churches Arles" into Google and.... Scared Heart Church in Arles!:

Arles is a small place outside Carlow but in Co Laois.  Reading the Certificate the priest was in Arles.  Hope this helps you

Welcome to Rootschat Ronnie but this is an old post and scrapper/searchertwo hasn't been back since the question about the church in Arles was answered in March.
