I think this is your Humphrey's family in
1851:
HO197/2499, folio 706, page 6All living at Bwlchsych, in the parish of Hirnant.
HUMPHREYS, Humphrey, h, m, 36, farmer, 37 acres
HUMPHREYS, Anne, w, m, 34
HUMPHREYS, Elinor, d, u, 5
HUMPHREYS, Elizabeth, d, u, 3
HUMPHREYS, Jane, d, u, 8m,
THOMAS, Anne, sv, u, 12, housemaid
GRIFFITHS, Thomas, sv, u, 12, servant boy
Humphrey, Elinor, Elizabeth and Jane were all born in Hirnant, Montgomeryshire. His wife Anne was born in Llangynog, Montgomeryshire.
In the
1861 census the family are still residing at Bwlchsych, in the parish of Hirnant
RG9/4265, folio 55, page 7HUMPHREYS Humphrey, h, m, 47, Farmer 160 acres
HUMPHREYS Ann, w, m, 45,
HUMPHREYS Jane, d, -, 10
HUMPHREYS Margaret, d, -, 8,
HUMPHREYS Mary, d, -, 6,
HUMPHREYS Catherine, d, -, 3
HUMPHREYS Hannah, d, -, 14m,
THOMAS Robert, gs, -, 3, Grandson to wife,
ROBERTS Thomas, sv, u, 16, Carter,
Margaret, Mary, Catherine and Hannah were all born in Hirnant so too was Robert Thomas the grandson.
I think this is possibly their daughter Elizabeth who was employed as a servant at Tycrose, Hirnant.
RG9/4254, folio 55 page 7HUMPHREYS Elizabeth, sv, -, 13, House Servant
I did a search on 1861 for their other daughter Elinor who would have been approximately 15 years old, but unfortunately I couldn't find her - perhaps she had died by 1861.
You can purchase the 1851 and 1861 Montogmeryshire census CD's from the Powys Family History Society, via The Parish Chest website. Here's the link to the website
