Dear Celia
I am a novice at tracing my ancestors, but i was wondering if you had any info on my Gt.Grandmother Isabella Craney. She was from Co.Down and I know she married my Gt Grandfather Daniel Gilbride in 1875 in Killyleagh R.C.Church. I am trying to find her mother and fathers names.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Best Regards

Gustav (Isabel)

Her father was Pat Craney a labourer,she was a dressmaker aged 22.
His father was also Daniel a labourer.. Daniel was a policemanaged 30.

Married in Crossgar RC Church. Daniel residing in Lisburn. One of the witnesses was maybe her sister Mary Craney. Maybe someone can make out the townland residence of Isabella?

Added: Note Daniel Killbride

Only one that comes close is Drumnaconagher also spelt Drumnaconnor*  (between Downpatrick and Ballynahinch).

* See Rosdavies website.

Agree with that, OTTO.
Here's Drumnaconnor in Ros Davies map
https://www.rosdavies.com/MAPS/KilmoreTownlands.htm

....and it's official spelling as Drumnaconagher.

Same place west of Crossgar  8)
