Australian soldiers
« on: Saturday 08 March 08 20:52 GMT (UK) »
I swore I'd leave this bit of my family tree for a while but I can't.
Simple question but is there an answer.
Does anyone know where soldiers in the AIF were stationed in England in about 1915 - 1917. Particularly Worcestershire.
Thanks Tina the impatient :D

Hi Tinav,

If you know the name of the Soldier you can go to the Aust War Memorial site and request a copy of his Dossier which will show all of his activities and where he served during the War.

Regards, Jim

Tina, you should be able to find a digitial copy of his records at
http://www.naa.gov.au/

Go to record search, search as a guest,  and put in the surname follwed by given name and select to search as a phrase.

Once you find him just click on the digital image link.

Hi
Thanks for you replies :)
It was just a general question really. Wondered if there were any particular places that the AIF would have been stationed.
Thanks for taking the time to reply anyway.
Tina ;)
