have been following this one too, and agree with all that's gone, was just about to post the same 1851 as wozzle and the marriage

here's the youngest child's birth which might help find Agnes' maiden name as I can't see a marriage for them:

Two possible Eliza Pitt Deaths:

Q1. 1855 Clerkenwell
Q3  1853 Bethanl Green

John b. Q1 1853,   Agnes b. Q1 1856 so either really, although the 1855 is a tad close maybe.

had a look on 1841 census for the boxall family
hoping a daughter eliza would be with them
but the family are the same as 1851 apart from a jane boxall age 11.
think the best thing is to get the birth cert of henry b.1849
the one born 1849 in kensington is down as henry george pitt
there is another one born in 1848 in pancras down as henry pitt.
and another one born in 1848 in bethnal green down as henry william pitt.
i think the one born kensington would be favourite.
i am not sure but i think you can ask them to do a search and only send the cert if the fathers name is correct i'm not sure how much extra this costs.

ok, loads to think about, and thank you all for your efforts.

I was thinking Henry born Kensington as well, so will go with that one, and
specify fathers name and see what we get, will also order one of the younger
ones birth certificate once I receive Henry's and we establish that Agnes was
not his mother.

If you order on line you can ask them to check father's name - if it's correct you pay £7 and get the certificate, if it's not they change £3 for the search and refund £4.  It works - I've done it lots.
