Hi Lizzie,

Thanks for trying for me. Hopefully I will get to the archives down there one day and see what I can find there.

Thank you,

Jen.

Im not exactly sure what I posted that was in breech of  copyright, as I thought that it was permitted to put names and dates of dead relatives on a site that is about family history!!

One of the terms of the NBI licence agreement reads "You may not publish ...any portion of the software and data, in printed, electronic or any other format, without prior written consent..."

I imagine that may have something to do with it.

I was led to believe that Family History Online have many of the burials from the NBI on their site:
http://www.familyhistoryonline.net/

It is free to search but you have to register and pay (usually only a few pence) to view each record. Minimum purchase is £5 and these 'credits' last for 6 months. The amount of information on the deaths/burials varies from virtually nothing to a reasonable amount.

Be aware that any searches you make expire after 30 days (I've just been caught out with this and lost some of my previous searches) - so save your searches elsewhere, print them out etc ...

The data is being transferred gradually from FamilyHistoryonline to Findmypast.  Not sure where they have got to in the process.
