Hello,

Have I caused offense?

I certainly didn't mean to!

I'll say goodbye and thanks to so very many who have helped out!

Hi Ady and Ev,

I've gone away, had a cry, and come back to say thanks again.

Ady - that's all I have, name, enlistment number, date of death, where he was living.

Ev - thanks, I hadn't looked for his medal record - thanks for looking on Ancestry as well.

a way too emotionally involved, Jo

As Harribobs has said i gave you the info on SDGW that wasnt posted in your original posting

You can probably get a good idea about what his company was up to on the 1st July by checking the War Diary at the NA some are available online to download.

(WO95 1616 ) Is the file your after.

They were a TF Unit involved on the attack on Gommecourt proved very costly for them
