Articlave Police Station
« on: Friday 14 March 08 21:00 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know how I could go about finding out if there was ever a local Police Station in Articlave? I know that there was one in Castlerock up until a few years ago.

Nothing showing up in 1910 directory (Articlave is under Castlerock but only barrakcs in Castlerock listed):

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks again aghadowey,
Castlerock is relatively young compared to Articlave. I heard that there had been a police station in Articlave at a stage possibly pre 1880. I took a look through the 1831 census of Dunboe thinking it might have been listed but couldn't find a mention.

Thanks Elcam, i was looking at copies of the ordnance survy memoirs on Sunday past in Waterstones. Unfortunately they didn't have the one that covers Dunboe. I did have a browse through the one in Coleraine Library though.
