Janet & James Archibald

Hello,

I am looking for any information or descendants of Janet Archibald, daughter of
John and Isabell Archibald, born 8 May 1792, Inveresk, Midlothian, Scotland who married James Archibald at Inveresk on 8 May 1815.  (An Archibald married an Archibald).   I do not know when they emigrated to Canada but Janet Archibald died at Nova Scotia on 19 January 1859.   Any information would be greatly appreciated.     Thanks, Grace Parker

Thanks very much for both of your replies.   Unfortunately I do not know where Janet Archibald died.  It may have been Truro.  I have her parents.  A John Archibald married an Isabell Archibald (both with the same surname).   I do not have James's parents.   I think I will have to search further in Scotland. i will try the web sites you have given me.   Thanks for your time,

I also have Archibald ancestors from Inveresk Midlothian in my family tree, even though I can't see a connection to my branch, there are a couple of people on the GenesReunited site who have John and Isabel Archibald/ Janet and James Archibald among their names on their family tree.

Thanks for your reply.   I am a member of GenesReunited so I will have a look but if I have a problem I will get back to you.

My Archibalds were mainly at Musselburgh and Newton.  I start with John Archibald who married either Isabel or Elizabeth Paul, then through their son John who married Isabel Henderson, then Henry who married Isabal Dobie and so on.
