Hi Kazza,

John Annear was my uncle but unfortunately I never met him.

I'd like to send you a private message but can't see how to do it.

Chris.

Hi and welcome, buccannear
You need to have at least two posts before the private message system is activated.  Reply to this and then you can click on the green scroll under the name and it should work!
Regards
Andrea

Hi
This is exciting. I didn't think I was ever going to hear from anyone about the 'Annear' family.
So exactly how do you fit into all this please?

Is John Annear still alive?

Can you email me at all please?

Kazza.

Sorry for the delay - I've just returned from a short holiday.

I'm not sure of the date but John passed away some time between 1960 and 1961. I was brought up in Zimbabwe and never met any of my relatives until I was about 22, so there is next to nothing I can tell you about him except his passing upset my father, Cyril quite a lot.

Do you know anything of Norman Annear?

Hi there,
Nice to hear from you. I have to check my notes again but I have recently eg: 3 years ago written to John Annear so I'm not to sure it's the same John Annear we are talking about.

I will see what I have on Norman Annear.
Do you have anything on the family?

Kazza

I assumed it was the same John Annear because you mentioned a brother Cyril - my fathers name.

Sorry for raising your hopes.

Hi
Who did Cyril Annear marry, do you know this? I have Phyllis Stephens as marrying Cyril C Annear in Redruth 1939.

They had three children. Do you think this is the same family?

My father Cyril, married Phyllis Stehpens - my mother - in Redruth in 1939. I am one of the three children.

Cyril was born October 1912. His mother's name was Rowland. His second initial was also C but it was for Cornish (not Clinch).

My sister knows more about the family history - I will see if she knows who John married.
