Gail, where does Mary Cutty come into your family tree?  I can't see any marriage for a Mary Cutty in Northumberland at all, and the only two I can see in 1871 census are Mary b.1852 Harwood Durham, parents Edward and Elizabeth, and Mary Ann b. 1857 Haswell Durham, parents William and Jane.  Is she either of these two?

         How about this in 1861 in Hetton Le Hole Durham

Timothy Wheatly Green head age 43 b Lancaster Durham occ lab
Elizabeth dau age 19 b Chester Le Street Durham
Samuel son age 11 b Houghton Le Spring Durham
Mary Elen dau age 9 b Hetton Le Hole Durham

 If this is him in 1851 he is married to a Dianah age 32 b Chester Le Street.
 Also there is a son William age 7 b Chester Le Street plus Elizabeth and Samuel as above.
 They are living in Hetton Le Hole

I have just downloaded some info from GRU and at the bottom it say`s Mary Cutty and Timothy Wheatley Green were married on 10 aug 1861

So was Mary Rosecamp previously married with the maiden name Cutty, we now need to find out....

Gail,

He definitely married Mary Rosecamp, her children are with them in 1871.

If you look at her family in 1861, the eldest son is 22, ie born 1838/1839, so her first marriage could have been pre Civil Registration.

Gail, have you checked the IGI?

Mary Cutty married Thomas Roscamp, 4th February 1837 at Houghton le Spring.
