Subsequent to posting this lookup I have found ref on Commonwealth War Grave Commission
http://www.cwgc.org/

site to following:

L/c Harold Cecil ROBERTS # G/4008 The Queen's Regiment (Royal West Surrey Regiment) killed in action 7/6/1917 (Ypres Menin Gate Memorial)

Private Nelson Ernest ROBERTS # 203421 - Hertfordshire Regiment killed 30/3/1918 age 19...son of Alice Maud ROBERTS 19 Chatsworth Road,West Norwood,London and late Frederick ROBERTS

Looks as though mother, Alice Maud ROBERTS moved from 71 Crescent lane,Clapham where recorded in 1901 census to 19 Chatswood Road,West Norwood,London and father of Nelson Roberts was deceased !

Bearing in mind the address of 19 Chatswood Road, West Norwood,London may have been her address at time of her sons enlistment or at time of his death in 1918.

I know there is such a wealth of knowledge with Rootchatters who have been down these paths before !

Help please ! ???

Have you tried looking for their Medal Index Cards (MIC) on the National Archives site?
