arrmy service corp.
« on: Tuesday 18 March 08 11:43 GMT (UK) »
good morning.
my Grandfather seved in the army service corp in ww1.
on his pension record the corp he served in was 929.
i have looked on the long long trail site but there is no record of that corp.
my uncle @dad told me they are sure that when the canadians captured Vimy Ridge,he was sent there.
can anyone help, please, where i can find out where he did serve, and why i cant find any record of his company.
on his pension record it says,
theatre of war,france.

thanks,chris.

hi chris

looking at medal cards at the national archives
929 refers to transport , driver , cyclist , farrier
do you have his medal card ?
it might reveal a bit more
