Baptism for Stanney & Chismon
« on: Tuesday 18 March 08 13:40 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I'm trying to knock down a few of my biggest brickwalls at the moment and feel like I'm banging my head against one instead.

I am trying to find baptisms for the following:

Joseph Stanney c1765.  He was married in Ewell in Surrey and died in 1825 in Thames Ditton

and

James Chismon born 28-6-1790 (from family bible) and died in 1848 in Kingston.  He married in Stepney.

Is anyone able to help?

Many thanks in anticipation

There isn't anything on the I.G.I. i wonder if they were Catholics.Have you tried the Surrey  and London boards.

Hi Celia

Thanks for your reply.

Not sure about the Catholic side - I have managed to quite successfully trace the other members of both families, its just these two being elusive.

I have tried the Surrey board without success - if I don't have any success here then I will try and post again on the London board.

Thanks again for your help
