Returning Soldiers
« on: Wednesday 19 March 08 17:07 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if somebody could please help?

If a soldier came to England from Canada in 1916/17 would he not have had to return to Canada once his stint in England was over?  Also do you know how long they would be stationed here for?

Many thanks in advance brads

If you have a specific person who you are looking for you can do a search of the manifest of passenger ships to Canada after the war that will possibly give you the information you require.

Good point AlanNZ !!!

And remember that if he was injured he could have gone back as late as the early 1920's
