Hi Ian,
Yes Dad played football. He played for Inverness Thistle { known as the " gentle giant" }, Bury FC, Swindon Town FC and Acrington Stanley FC.
I would love to know the little things about Dad if you are able to help me .Like the school he went to and which church. My sister and I are shall be in Avoch later this year and we would love to be able to visit his past haunts.
                         Thank you. Heather

Annie cowie (1898) was from buckie, I can't remember the exact time lines but before cowie came smiths and williams.  There was a French name in there, that began with P but I can't remember exactly, I've mislaid the family tree I managed to make.

My grandma was Betty Jack, married to Donald Jack (from avoch).  I know this is a very late reply but thought I would just mention it.

Hi Beth If you want a copy of the family tree ask your Mum for my email address because I have changed it since I last emailed you.  There are no williams in the family.  Ann In Australia and I have got the jacks back to the 1780's but have become stuck with the morrisons on Grannies side.  Davina
