crikey, thats the most complete MIC i've ever seen

he started out with the 42nd east lancs division in gallipoli, so he was with the manchester territorials out there, landing at cape hellas on the 13.5.15, went on to serve with the 10.4 (?) poss 4th general hospital was promoted to lieutenant (class) chaplain  ( not sure what that was)

looks like he applied for his 14/15 medal on to the commandant of Etaples Camp for his medals on 25.1.19, and a further claim on the 11.8.19, reply was received from EF ( must be the issuing body for officers, we are looking at this on the manchesters forum) 18.9.19

I know ! ... I couldn't believe it when I saw it !!

Apparently he was quite a man !! ..... but I didn't see the promotion to  lieutenant (class) chaplain in his papers ..... so thats something new ! and of course he was officer status so he had to apply for his !!

Thanks Pal !

I noticed that this guys address on the reverse side of the MIC was the Friary,  Gorton,  Manchester.    Could this possibly be the recently refurbished monastery in Gorton Lane (St.Francis's)?
Obviously quite a character!!!
