banns or license?

Hi

I was looking at the details of transcribed registers Wrexham for sale on Clwyd FHS.  If I were to purchase marriage registers, which would be best to go for by Banns or License?

To my knowledge the parish record transcripts produced by Clwyd FHS include marriages by Banns or license.

Most marriages by licence are listed on the National Library Marriage Bonds link:

http://isys.llgc.org.uk/


Wrexham would be in the St Asaph Diocese lisdtings.
