I have GRUNDYS in my family tree, a Bigland Grundy b abt 1780 Lytham St Annes Lancashire, was my Gr,Gr,Gr, Grandfather, He settled in WILLASTON, Wirral, Cheshire, where he died in 1858.
Willaston is abt 10 Miles from BIRKENHEAD. Depending where your GRUNDYS originate from there might be a connection. I myself still live in WILLASTON today the family having been living in the Village since abt 1700 as research stands at the moment.

What l have so far on the Grundy family is:-

George Grundy b. 1872 Birkenhead. m Harriett Fulford nee Braithwaite(my ggrandmother 2nd marriage so George is my stepggrandfather)
Siblings Elizabeth  b 1877
Mary b 1879
Martha b Nov 1880

Parents:-  James Grundy b. 1850 Birkenhead marr 31 Oct 1871 St Nicholas Church Liverpool Father Joseph Grundy  mother Mary Ann Johnson other spouses Annie m (James Grundy)

James Wife:-
Martha Rolls b. 1850 Birkenhead d. 1883 Birkenhead. Father John Rolls mother Mary Broughall.

Does any of the above fit in with your family tree.

Anyone interested in the GRUNDYS of Birkenhead  Wirral  England ? 
My father was Raymond Grundy born 1936
His father was Robert William Grundy born 1893
His father was George Grundy born 1872
His father was James Grundy born 1850
His father was Joseph Grundy born 1815 in Astley Lancashire
 Hope this is of some use ....have certificates from Birkenhead BMD  office
