James John Higgins born 1846 in Guernsey ... can anyone help?  Moved to Abergavenny, Wales and married a Mary Ann Billiss.

Did you get his marriage cert as mentioned on that thread, to find out his father's name and occupation as that would really help?

just trying to get some more information about the mysterious John Higgins - looks like his parents may have died... I will get more from the marriage cert hopefully!

Of course I'm not sure if that's him in 1851, and I can't seem to find him in 1861 - I think you'll need the marriage cert before going any further
