1841 Census Query

Hi,

Could any kind soul look up Robert Torbet on the above for me, I think he would have been fairly elderly (if still alive) at the time.

Hi Rory,

I checked FreeCen for your query. They have 100% coverage of Midlothian for 1841. Unfortunately, the only Robert showing is a young child. Do you have any details of Robert's wife and children? They may show on the census.

Hi Hume,
I know of Adam b. 1799, Marion b. 1794, and John b. 1793. As far as I know he was married to Mary Ferguson in 1791.

No sign of Mary in Midlothian. The IGI shows two more children to Robert and Mary:

Helen Torbet, born 23rd April 1792 Edinburgh - parents Robert Torbet & Mary Ferguson
William Torbet, bapt. April 1795 Dundee - parents Robt. Torbet & Mary Ferguson
