John Pratt of Beverley early to mid 1800's
« on: Thursday 13 January 05 16:30 GMT (UK) »
Looking for any information on John Pratt and his family. They seem to have been a family fond of moving as John Pratt was born in Begleswood (?) Bedfordshire. His daughter Eliza was born in Beverley Hull around 1829. Eliza married a Mr Richardson and had a daughter Eliza in about 1854. She then remarried a Thomas Lindsay in 1858 and moved to Sutton Lancashire via a brief spell in Stockton, Durham (where she had 4 children). John Pratt appears to be living with the family on the 1871 census in Sutton Lancashire and his occupation is given as Veterinary Surgeon.
Its been a nightmare deciding which board to post this message on!

Thanks to the wonderful people out there I have a lot of info on the family from the 1871 and 1881 census but wondered if anyone had come across them earlier?
Cheetham in Eccles, Lancashire. Roxburgh in Galston, Ayrshire. Lindsay in GlenIsla, Dundee and Newcastle
