Twin Brothers Kemp
« on: Tuesday 25 March 08 04:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello.

My grandfather emigrated to Melbourne in 1912 from Surrey/Middlesex origins.
His older cousins HAROLD KEMP and GEORGE BOWER KEMP were twins and in my searches todate have not been able to clearly identify from ancestry.com site on military records whether they were bemedalled or died in combat.
They were in their 30's :  born in JFM of 1884.
Is there another site i can go to in order to ascertain whether they did perish in the war?
Kind regards

Julie Kemp

All the available records have not yet been fully uploaded to ancestry.

You can try the National Archives site for medal cards http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/medals.asp

This is a possible medal index card for george.

Its also available on ancestry in colour but no personal info...It is the only George B Kemp MIC in the indexes (but some are missing) Do you know they definately served overseas?

Hi  :)

After checking out SDGW, it would appear that your twins survived the war.  :D
