Edward and Thomas Bassindale were both from Belton. Both were posted to Canada Dec 1861 after a diplomatic incident.. Thomas met and married Ann Scott in Montreal October 1863. Their daughter Annie was born Sept 1864 aboard ship when the Grenadiers were posted back to London. Thomas and Ann married again Nov 1864 in the Royal Chapel in the Tower. My grandfather Thomas was born there 1869. Edward was granted freedom of London City in 1878. Very interested in the family bible and whether it contains any information about Thomas and Ann. We have much information on the family but are seeking any info about Ann Scott, her life and location in Canada and her birthplace.
