Can anyone tell me the owners of a Viewley hill farm in Wolviston. Nr Stockton, Durham either in the 1851,1861 or 1871 census please. Thank you. My ancestors were living there in the 1881 and 1891 census but I can't find out very much about them. There were 13 children and their surname was Jamison/Jameson/Jamieson.
Biddiscombe (Wiltshire).
Watson (Stockton on Tees)
Jamieson (Wolviston)
Rothwell (Salford/Heywood, Lancs - Stockton, Durham.)
Paisley(Hampshire)
White (East Stoneham/Liverpool)
Taylor (Liverpool)

Hello,
Have found the Jamieson family, John, Eliza and children in Scotson(?) Moor, Wolviston in 1871.  John is a Woodsman.  But can't find the farm you mention, sorry.

Regards
Jonathan

Hi Romawi

On the 1861 census the SEYMOUR family are living at Viewely Hill Farm, the head of family is John Seymour 44 - Farmer of 60 acres, hope this answers your question.
