Olive Branch Pub

Does anyone recognise this public house and where it might have been?

My guess is Lower Marsh off the Waterloo Road. Anyone have any concrete evidence.?

If I remember I will ask my husband (but he is late home tonight!) as he used to work just off Lower Marsh, and may remember if there is still a pub there of that name. If I dont get back to you, and no one else has answered, then please remind me!

I don't recognise the pub but there was The Olive Branch pub in Minerva Street, Bethnal Green.   A distant relative was a "general servant" there on 1881 census.

I'm afraid I don't know which it was but there cerainly was an Olive Branch at 63 Lower Marsh. There was also one in Tottenham, Grays Inn Rd, Greenwich...well, you can look at the 1881 census as well as I can!

Oh, and also Crawford Street, Maylebone according to the 1901 census 

Perhaps if you drew up a shortlist, you could zero in on the right one by searching the licensing records.

Olive Branch 63 Lower marsh, now 158 Waterloo Road
