no, only had 2 pints and a britvic orange. doctor changed me tablets so now restricted to a quite evening ::)

Just used 5 pound worth of credits searching for Marraige of Maud Watson to Walter Clarke which i found September quarter 1913. they were the parents of my mother in law. Celia rose Clarke, born around the Southend area ?

She was supposidly born Jan-10-1917 and had a brother walter born Febuary 1915
i have made a search of the birth indexes for them and cannot find them, the family split when she was about 5 and did'nt see her father or brother again, she going with her mother. I will have to get the marraige certificate to get his info, as its like sticking a pin in the 1901 census.

again many thanks for your help on this family line

How difficult is it to find iff a peson is alive or deceased

I refer to Walter G Clarke born 1915 in the Barnet area

What would you have to do to find him, although if he was
alive he would be 93 by now

Well, you can only look for a death - if there isnt one he is still alive!!!!!

Looking at the post 1983 database there is only one which is a possible:
August 1986
Walter Clarke bn 25 Mar 1915
London City ref 14 692

but of course he could have died any time from 1915 to 1983. Without some further detail to try and narrow down the possible years it would a big job to go through every quarter.

from what i understand he was last seen around 1946-1950, so that narrows him down to a 50 year search :( if i find anything will let u know as you've been so helpful on this line

many thanks

Just found all this as I am researching my grandmother's family. Maud Alice was her Aunt, Ethel was her mother. I can confirm her Grandmother Julia did marry two Fredericks. Her son Richard (Dick) was Killed in the First War and her daughter My Great Grandmother (Ethel) died just after my Grandmother was born in 1904..at the young age of 16-17 years! My grandmother Gladys May is still going strong at 106 years although I can find no record of her birth records anywhere. Any suggestions?
