William BEACHAM b~1746 Yatton region
« on: Sunday 30 March 08 02:11 BST (UK) »
My greatx3 grandfather William BEACHAM married Mary HAWKINS (Hawkings) at Yatton St Marys on 26 Apr 1780.

I am looking for a baptism so I can find his parents.

I have reviewed the Yatton parish register and find no baptisms for a William BEACHAM at any time from 1675 to 1780.  I assume he would have been born roughly 1760.  I have also reviewed Wrington, Kingston Seymour, Clevedon, Churchill, Long Ashton, Worle, and Banwell around the same era, and am in the process of reviewing around 10 other neighboring parish church registers.

I have a possible relevant burial from the Yatton St Marys parish register:
1839 Dec 26 William Beacham of Yatton, 93 yo register #642 (born 1746 therefore).  Is there any way I can find out more information about this burial?  Maybe where he is buried at Yatton St Marys or what does the gravestone read or what Beachams are buried immediately around him?

Is there anything else I can do to track him down?

Hi Charles,

On FreeReg there is the following that fits in nicely.

I had initially hoped so as well but I reviewed the Yatton parish registry & found this under burials:

1766 Dec 10 William baseborn son of Ann Beacham buried.  Also, even if he did not die at age 1 he would be too young to be my gx3grandfather, whom married in 1780 (he would be 15).

So I still have another William Beacham baptism to find that would go with an 1839 burial at age 93
