I started researching my ancestors in 1995 and with a name like Wright its been difficult to say the least.  Its expensive I agree but sometimes the only way when researching a common surname in London.  And I've discovered so much about them.  My gt-grandfather was the eldest of 12 children (each one born at a different address) and when I started I didn't even know if he had one sibling.

I agree it's worth it- when you get one correct bit of info and it gives you vital leads- wow, what a wonderful reward for persisting.  And as for common surmanes- don't tell me about it.

Good hunting,
