     Although I don't have any of your names on my family tree, I have done some research on the Bridport (Allington) Diments.  I subscribe to the Dorset mailing list and there have been several exchanges of correspondence regarding Diments, Hounsell, etc.
     What is your query ?  Perhaps I could find something to help in my file.

                 I have just joined this site today. I have a Rebecca Diment in my tree, she was born abt 1776 and married my distant relative Daniel Pitfield. I know nothing about the Diment family would be interested to find out more. Mine are from the Dorset area. With kind regards Donna

I have also just realised that you have Vincent in your tree. My g-g-g grandmother was Maria Vincent born 1775 and she married my g-g-g grandfather John Cutler in 1794. I know nothing about her side of the family. Would love to find out more about her. Could you check your tree for me please. Thanks Donna

Hi Donna, just read your messages, i do not know alot about the Diments or Vincents still searching for my connections, My Diments start with Joel m Margaret Symes in 1758 then Daniel m Grace Trevett 1795  i only have Grace Vincent m Francis Trevett in 1745 i think Graces parents were John and Grace Vincent possibly from Litton Cheney.  will get back to you if i find out any more, Regards Jean

Hi Donna, I have found Rebecca DIMENT baptised 1777 in Whitchurch parents Benjamin DIMENT and Sarah (unknown)

also found a BEnjamin Diment and a Sarah FOWKES married June 1764 in SYMONDSBURY sarah,s Late father was Thomas FOWKES

also Rebeca;s Marriage to Daniel 8th August 1794

Hello Jean, that is great thanks for the info. Please let me know if i can help you with anything. I have loads of other names for Dorset too. As i am researching my Pitfield and Cutler side of the family and there are loads of them.

I have a large branch of Diments on my tree from Allington area of Bridport (plus, through elimination, know a fair bit about the ones which aren't "mine"), have one Hounsell on the tree (Eunice). The Diments I have are numerous and spread through to Bridport and out over the country up to 1901. Do contact for more info - tree also on Ancestry and Genesreuinited.
