Are there no medals for him?

Do you have a home town or any other details that may help us??
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

No medals that are in my possession, and much of the family has lost touch.

I know he was born Llay, Wrexham, but lived in Buckley, and Mold (both in Flintshire, North Wales) too before serving.

Another possibility..this is for a Mention in Dispatches or a Merituos Service Medal
Ring any bells??

its difficult to search!!

If you can find the London  gazette entry(available online) it may give place of residence.

I decided to download the piece because it's better than any I've found, however..

It says the date of the gazette was 1/05/1919 (A O 178) - I can't find anything at all for that date.
