i checked the 'born at sea' register but found nothing obvious.
i have played around with the witnesses on ancestry.co.uk without any luck.
her 3rd/4th husband appears to be living with the family as a boarder in the 1891 census.also there is a Marchant living with them as a boarder in the 1891 census and as a witness to the 2nd marriage -  i have looked at this but found nothing usefull.

I canot find any trace of Annie Florence Blackman pre 1881 in the census returns and no obvious 1st marriage.
why she gives a different fathers name on each marriage i just don't know.
this is the same woman throughout as there is continuation of evidence.
ie. child from 1st marriage henry yeadon living with the Sparkes family in the 1881 census and then the Sparkes children living with The Allen family in the 1901 census.

I have henry yeadons birth cert. born Henry Edward Yeadon /25th Nov 1872 / father Henry Yeadon a corporal in the Coldstream Guards/ mother Anie Florence Yeadon formerly Blackman/ living at 22, acres grove, battersea.

ANY HELP OR GUIDANCE APPRECIATED.

iAIN.

For the first marriage you have widow, is this right or have you made a mistake?

If she was a widow as Blackman, then her father wouldn't be Blackman, or am I missing something. :-\

2 initial points / queries:-

- have you looked for her pre-1881 / BMDs with reversed forenames ?

- the address on marriage Certs #1 and #3 is virtually the same ?

suffolk sue - on all certificates her father is a blackman, so even though she is a widow on the 1st marriage certificate she states that her father is a blackman.

newfster -  i have changed the names around pre 1881 without anything obvious cropping up/.
her marriage to henry yeadon in 1872 is only a year from the 1871 census so i thought that would be my best bet searching for anyone born in America, S amertica, brasil, rio but nada..............
i have spent sooooooooo many years on and of on this i though fresh eyes were needed.

hmmm, certainly shaping up to be a tough one.

That 1st Cert - no other names shown at all for her ? (sorry, I know you have probably spelled it all out, just need to ask  ;) )

Yes, the 1871 would seem to be the best bet wouldnt it - mind you, at a first pass I cant even see Mr Yeadon ....  ::)

Hi.

Just annie blackman on the 1st cert.
Mmmm I have looked for henry yeadon pre 1881 without success.
my friend who is a military expert says the coldstream guards weren't stationed abroad during that period so that rules that out.
also , i can't find henry yeadon junior after 1881 and no death cert that matches between the census's either.

I think she poisoned all her husbands and didn't actualy know who she was...........

Have you got her death cert, as her age is variable between the censuses. Wondered what her age was on that.

She must have been quite a girl. :D

i don't have it as going by her track record i was unsure which surname to go for.
my great aunt who is still alive and born in 1919 says she remembers her lying in her coffin in the living room in Battersea. so she probably died in the 1920's maybe.

if you saw a photo of her she looks realy evil.........
