In my random side notes, I mentioned what a wonderful maiden name Walker would be...I mean, who names their daughter Walker without a good reason?? But I couldn't find a marriage, I think there was one in London in 1866.

The big problem is...what is a lowly tinsmith doing sailing to England in the 1860s? It was a major undertaking and expense...I'm thinking it's more likely that WIlliam is hers but not his, and she came to NB to get away from...whatever....and lucked into a husband right away...just my imagination at work ;D

He/she, nothing. I did wonder if the Vicar could be Victor. But Victor is a boy's name, so it would have to be Edward, and they have another Edward.

I just had a look at the Methodist baptism resource, a great find, but nothing on any of the names. There was a George & Mary Moore having children in niagara region, and another two in Hamilton, both are in Ontario :P

Here are my 2 possibles for Mary's burial:

Mary J. Moore nee Addison, widow
Died: 17 April 1914
Age: 70 years
Late residence: Verdun Hospital, Verdun, Quebec
Place of death:   "

Mary Moore nee Thay
Wife of George Moore
Born: England
Died: 7 February 1933
Age: 67 years
Late residence: South Durham, Quebec
Place of death: 7 George V Street, Lachine, Quebec

I'm really leaning toward the first one...George died in 1913, so that would make her a widow. The age is right. I'm wondering if that "J" could really be an "I"...you know how similar they are...The Verdun Hospital was a mental care place, and it looks like she was there permanently...Alzheimers or such, possibly...

The secong one, age is really wrong, Lachine is not far from Verdun but no family member has ever lived there as far as I know, but they all lived in verdun, and I don't even know where South Durham is.

Just found this ...maybe a coincidence

That's a really nice coincidence. I wonder if Harlon was a popular name at the time.

No family member that I've ever heard of, except for a cousin, has ever been caught dead lived in Ontario.

(Little Quebec joke there... ;D ;D ;D)
