Has the medal cards but you have to pay!!
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

Hello Mallow,

They are being put on line by Ancestry. There has been one major release so far, but I can't see any system to it myself. It's hit and miss.
The ones that they have released are in colour and the back of the card is on the same image as the front.
Many don't have any information at all on the back. Generally the officers cards are more likely to have something on the back, probably because they had to apply for their medals.

Hi All

By searching for men named John on both the NA website and Ancestry my guess is about 45% are now online. I have heard that only about 2% have something on the back. The first one I looked for was for an officer and it had his address on the back, plus a few references, so Phil's theory is probably correct.

But having the front scanned in colour is a big help anyway, as the different inks used helps to decipher the writing.

Hello Mallow,

As Ady's not on line at the moment, I've looked it up.
The back is blank.
I don't know if you've downloaded the front from the NA or not, but the front is the standard name, corps, rank and number. He was awarded the Victory and British War medals.
The roll number for both medals is RGA/253B   page 15439.
