I'm working on your big pic Woolley but it's taken me about 7 hours to do just this little bit  working pixel by pixel ... so  I ' thought I 'd just let you see the progress  so far ...    The saying, " I may be some time !!" comes to mind ... :o :o ;D ;D

It doesn't matter how long it takes, just be careful of your your eyesight doing it.

It's certainly a challenge  ;D ;D I am only doing a few hours at a time though ...  eyes are precious and I know how long I can manage at a time now ... .. so thanks for your concern Woolley ...  ;)
 Scrimnet I have been most impressed with your expertise on things military .   Is there an area tha you specialise in ?

Sorry for the delay just got back in from walking the dogs.
I don't tend to specialise, just read everything I can on what interests me at the moment, bit of a butterfly mind really. Things military is only recent due to family research and finding out that some of my ancestors were in the armed services in some capacity or other.

By the way I've now found a really tatty record which states that he suffered a broken leg at Binbrook in Nov 1944, so I had the answer all along without realising it

Yes it is something I do a lot of...

I have been in the Big Green Machine for a while now, on and off...and I do lectures and battlefield tours for the boys and girls...

My main areas of interest are The Northamptonshire Regt, Army Medical Services, and The Royal Anglian Regt...(I was a Poacher before I re badged)

I also do a lot of WW1 and 2 stuff...
