All they have to do is make a few more posts then you can both exchange family details, email addresses, etc.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I have just begun my research.  This is what I believe so far:

Francis - Father of Owen (based on your information)
Owen - Father of Patrick (Patrick had a brother named John)
Patrick- Father of John D. McFarlane (Patrick moved family from New Monkland, Scottland to Dunbar, PA)
John- Father of Francis
Francis- Father of Thomas
Thomas- Father of Me!

Does this fit in with your family tree? Do you live in Scotland?

Hi :)

Yup we definately seem to be related.

I have sent you a few documents via e-mail regarding our ancestors.

I was particularly please to hear that your GGG Grandfather opened a Saloon, well the strange thing is, so did his brother over here in Scotland, it must have been a family thing.

He worked in the coal mines and somehow managed to save a few quid to start his own Pub.

I'd like to take timeout to thank Rootschat.com for making this possible and putting us intouch.
 ;D

Stu.
