FTM 2005 U.K. version?

Good morning all!

Can sks tell me if there is any difference between the Family Tree Maker 2005 software North American and U.K. versions?

The main difference would appear to be in the supplied "extras"

Although I have been informed that some of the layouts in the program have been made more UK specific than the original version ..... I don't use the program (not since version 2) although I have asked a friend who does.

Yes, the main thing I was wondering about was the layout, and whether it was more U.K. specific.

Hi Audrey,
Are there any U.K. specific differences in the layout?  I'm not so much worried with all the extras - I never use the free trial, or the CD's that came out before. 

I have the chance to upgrade to the U.K. edition, and wondered if it would be better than the U.S. version.

    .... after a quick phone call  .... He doesn't like the 2005 version and thinks its actually more americanised than previous ones were.

the only difference I have notaced
is a direct search button but it still gives  up loads of rubbish to trawl through an I have never even looked at the Cd that came with it I don't like ancestry .com but i fined the program easy to us

Hmmm... that's too bad about FTM 2005.  I also don't like the American slant, and find the ancestry.com matching system a complete waste of time, I agree, it is like trawling through a load of rubbish.
I really had my fingers crossed that the UK version was going to be just that... a version that was geared to the language, wants and needs of UK researchers.
Oh well, on the bright side, I won't be wasting my money.
