Thomas Gorrian b.1835

Looking for some info on Thomas Gorrian b.1835 in Newry but birth not registered.  He married Mary Daly Dailly (b.1834 in Strabane again birth not registered) on 08/09/1855 in Lennoxtown, Scotland and he died 11/04/1880.  Mary's parents were Philip Daly and Marjory Kelly.
Ward, McCole, McPaul, Brogan - Donegal
Taylor, Gorrian - Lanarkshire

Hello Nabla,

Three items are required when searching for Irish ancestors.

1. Denomination.
2. Parish.
3. Townland.

You'll have to rely on Church records as your ancestors were born prior to the introduction of Civil Registration in Ireland. This happened in 1864. The marriages of Non Catholic were registered from 1845 onwards.
