I don't know if it still exists in any form, but the Royal Berkshire Regiment was an army regiment.

I can see why he was attached to the 2nd Battalion, the 6th was disbanded in February 1918. I assume everyone was absorbed into the remaining battalions.

Thank you, forester but there is another thing that I don't understand which is this.
How can a member of a Battalion be part of the Inns of Court.
Surely that is to do with the legal system like the High Courts?

No I had not got that far with this messageboard yet.

I had no idea where Berry-au-Bac or the Aisne area was until today.
There is so much more than I'd ever realised was possible to find out
