Hi lilybell,
You might like to pass on my details to whomsoever you're helping. James Riach was the brother of my Gt Gt Grandfather Alexander Riach. They were of a family of 14 children. I was already aware that descendants of James Riach had gone to Canada. The Clara Lobban mentioned in the 1901 census married a Thomas Ritchie in Portage la Prairie in 1921. I am aware of her descendants by the names of; Conner, MacDonald, Altwater and Lamania.
James Riach was more than likely well known in Cullen being the man responsible for the building of the first train station there. I am interested in finding other Canadian relations as I've been told sometime ago that there were others out there, possibly descendants of James' son John Riach who married a Mable Spriggs.
