I have put this on the Northamptonshire thread, but as there were Canadians and all sorts with the Regt...I thought I'd better put up on a more general thread....

This is an off chance....

I found these pics today in a junk shop in Surrey buried at the back in box. They caught my eye because of the cap badge...

I thought I might post them just in case they might be someones rellie...

The first is post 1940 as he has the 1940 ptn battledress on the second is late 1944 onwards...So the chances are he is one of the few to have survived Operation Goodwood where most of the regiment were wiped out in a massive tank battle near Caen.

So over to you lot...I have seen some marvelous results...

BTW I will be talking to "Tankie" Turner, the Regt Secretary tomos...
